Tone Deaf

Till Deaf Do Us Part

Regardless of your political persuasion, you have to be surprised at the inept way the National Rifle Association (NRA) has presented itself after the Newtown massacre.  The NRA waited a week after the shooting in silence, building anticipation to a news conference that veered from ludicrous to bizarre.  Now, as a follow-up, they’ve released a shooter game on iTunes originally listed as “appropriate for children 4 and up”(!).  How can anyone be so tone deaf and insensitive to the current public sentiment?  Surely, the worst line to have on your résumé in today’s world is “Public Relations Director, NRA”.  Continued ineptitude in presenting their case could make the NRA irrelevant in the continuing discussion of gun control.
